An ammo can in Lake Ouachita State Park. Park permit # GP 28-12-05.
This an ammo can that was placed after an event here a few summers ago, and archived after the tornado of April 25, 2011.
I recently was awarded with the task of refinding all the old caches in the park, getting them back up to snuff and resubmitting them. It has been very fun to revisit some of the old caches that I have found and some, including this one, that I actually helped place. It brought back many good memories of people I have geocached with and great locations I have been to visit, including this scenic trail. This cache was in very good shape and took only a little swag and a new logbook to get it back in operation. I painted the can a bit as well, so it is as good as new.
Please be careful about where you place your hands without looking! I suggest poking around with a stick before grabbing. There are many snakes, spiders and other creepy crawlies in the park, so be careful! Geocaching is supposed to be fun, not dangerous!
