This cache has been archived.

2277: Seeing I have been away and not able to get to this cache and won't be able to until spring time I am archiving the cache, I will probably get another one up there in the spring.

Geocache Description:

This cache replaces a cache put out by Poikaa and Butterfly in 2005.
The new cache is a bison tube sized cache that should be easy for geocachers to find,
The easy trail up is mostly stairs and the difficult trail is rocky with lots of roots then stairs to the top.

Sugarloaf Mountain Natural Area is owned by Marquette County and located in Marquette Township.  Sugarloaf Mountain is one of the most popular scenic overlooks on the central Upper Peninsula coastline.  The Sugarloaf Mountain Natural Area consists of a 3,200 foot trail of pathway and stairway segments that lead to the mountain's summit 470 feet above Lake Superior.  There are viewing platforms on the mountain's summit which provide a spectacular view of the rugged coastline and surrounding forestlands for miles.
