This cache is a small Tupperware container. It holds only a log and some small swag items. BYOP.
Colossus is a tulip tree that is located in Clove Lakes park. At 350 years old, it is one of the oldest trees in N.Y.C.! (to get an idea of how old that is, it was 100 years old before the American Revolution!) The only other comparison is the Alleypond Giant in Queens, NY and where as Colossus' trunk is much wider, the Queens Giant is about 20 feet taller. This enormous tree is about 120 feet high, 21.4 feet wide and weighs aprox. 50,000 pounds. Besides its obvious size difference, the only other distinguishing characteristic is a broken lightning rod running down the side. Please place cache back carefully where you found it. This is a high muggle area so please use stealth and respect the area!!!
