Alispice: It is with regret that I am archiving the majority of the caches in this series. The area was severely damaged by a wildfire, and I do not know when it will be safe to enter the trails again - this part of the park is still closed at this time. I believe many of these caches were lost in the fire. Perhaps someone can re-do the series in the future when this area becomes accessible to the public again. For now, I am leaving numbers 1 and 2 in the series, and will attempt to make the final mystery cache a traditional, as it is not in the burn area. Thanks to all who visited these caches, and to t20t for hiding them in the first place. I'm so sorry it had to end this way.

The Hobbit or There and Back Again Chapter 17 - The Clouds Burst

Bard and Thorin bargain using the Arkenstone; and Bilbo admits he gave it to Bard. Thorin gets really furious with Bilbo and sends him away. Thorin calls his cousin Dain, and the other dwarves that arrived, to prepare for battle. Eventually a battle begins and two more armies show up, one of goblins, and one of wargs. Soon it was a battle of the five armies: elves, people, dwarves vs. wargs and goblins. Beorn and the Eagles arrive to join in the battle, and togeather they win the battle against the wargs and goblins.

BRING WATER, energy foods, sunscreen, bug spray, wear a hat, and good hiking boots, shorts not recommended (path may be overgrown depending on time of year.) NOT RECOMMENDED FOR SMALL CHILDREN, due to steep slopes and sharp drop offs. Also remember your surroundings, rattle snakes, bears, and cougars may be in the area.

All 19 Chapters will take about 4-6 hours to complete (slow and steady hiking). The hike is a very steady and steep incline, you will be hiking 1632 feet uphill, and is 10 km's including return.
