Geocache Description:

Extreme cache inside of the Pearl Cave. You have to explore the cave using photo guide and find a cache near an underground spring.

NOTICE. This cache is hard. Really hard. It is located inside a cave - an artificial cave, former sand mine, - and sometimes you have to crawl on your belly in full darkness to reach it. The cave is abandoned and you will get no help from anyone if you get lost inside it. There`s a slightly elevated background radiation in the cave - about 3 times higher than the values at the surface of the earth (but 2.5 times lower than in an airplane at an altitude of 10,000 m) And, at last, if your weight is more than 100 kilograms or if you`ve got claustrophobia - this cache is not for you.

If you still want to go - put on your working clothes and shoes, gloves and headgear, take a source of light (or two, it is very uncomfortable to find yourself in darkness with a dead spotlight) and begin.

The coordinates above will lead you to the entrance of the cave. Turn on your spotlight and start. I recommend you to print the photo guide as the cell network and GPS will not work inside the cave.
This cave - the old mine workings, which extracted the white silica sand for glass production. Until now, one can see the layers of white sand on the cave walls. The galleries were abandoned in the 19th century and now are home to numerous bats.

1. Enter the cave by manhole to the right and mind your head.

2. Go straight ahead

3. Now you are entering a large room with lots of columns...

4. ...you have to find this brick wall and...

5. ...behind the wall enter this manhole leading upwards. It is narrow!

6. Now you are in a small hall. Go to the left, follow a corridor... Wow, who`s that dude???

7. The corridor and a spirit of an unknown Russian geocacher. Go straight ahead.

8. Now you are in a hall. Some water here! Look to the left and descend.

9. Railway crossing sign? Possibly, this is for subway? Enter the manhole to the left of the sign.

10. Ascend, there is some mud on the ground - beware of slippery floor!

11. What a construction. Do you think, can it withstand the weight of the ground? Go to the left corner of this photo :) Notice the underground spring.

12. Go straight ahead and turn left. Not first turn, second! Descend to a round hall.

13. Crawl through this hole and turn right at first intersection. You will find yourself in a small hall with conical ceiling. Rainy weather here!

14. This is the cache owner, pointing at it :).

AND DO YOU REMEMBER THE WAY BACK???
How to get to: by car or by local train from Moskovsky railway station to station Sablino and then by bus (God knows their timetable) or by feet (about 6 kilometers). What else do you expect from a 5/5 cache?

If you have some trouble with this cache, feel free to email me. Possibly, depending on my free time, I could accompany you to the cave - but do not think that I will help you to find the cache! :)
