You looking for a small square camo cache
I have always seen the signs on Rt 43 pointing to these trails. Ended up at the Claytor Nature Study . They told me it was ok to park there and use the trials. But they close the gate at 5pm, so If I was going to be there after that, just park outside the gate. Also there is parking along Woods rd which I added as a waypoint. The Nature Center parking is at N 37 23.324 and W 079 32.268. But as I was heading out today at 4:30, they had closed the gate early. So if your going to be there around 5 pm, I recommend parking via the waypoint.
The almost 500 acre Claytor Nature Study Center provides outdoor environmental education experience for pre-K through high school students. Contained on the site are 7.5 miles of hiking trails through open fields, woodlands, riverside cliffs, and wetlands.
There are currently 5 caches on the grounds of the Center; the kind folks there know about them and even have published a guide to the caches on their website! All of the caches are accessible from the trails (no cache is more than 15 feet off the trail) and all are easy finds (level 1 or 2). This should be a fun and interesting way to introduce the next generation to a fun hobby… maybe they’ll even meet a muggle!
