This was our very first geocache and it's in our home village, Sheepy Magna which dates back to the Doomsday book. It's hidden in the glade, an area of trees planted and maintained by the Sheepy Playing Fields Association. We have recently given it a new container and a slight change in location as we were inspired by a cache we found in Sweden.
Please don't try to remove the cache from its moorings. You can access the contents without moving it. This cache is near the local playing fields which have a children's play area that younger children might enjoy along with a full blown football pitch. The latter is often in use by the locals, though the older players seem to spend more time shouting at each other than actually playing the game! The cache itself is disguised. A little bit of care may need to be taken as there are quite a few local muggles who walk around the area. Also, the ground around can be quite muddy if it has been raining. There is parking very close by the playing fields accessed by driving right to the very end of Brookside Place and down the very short bit of rough road then turning left. There are a couple of major attractions close by the village should you want to make a day of it. Honourable mentions have to go to Legochugglers and Soapy Chickens who were so eager to be first to find they turned up before we had actually hidden it! Oh, and be prepared for a close encounter with earwigs! We have evicted them several times but they keep reappearing, sorry.
