Piemineklis jūrniekiem un zvejniekiem, kuru kaps – jūras dzelme atrodas pie kādreizējās Ziemas ostas (19. gs.), ko pašlaik izmanto ostas flotes novietošanai. Atklāts 1938. g., tā idejas autors ir toreizējais Ventspils ostas kapteinis Vilis Ābelnieks. Granīta akmens izvilkts no Ventas gultnes. Ilgāku laiku tas bija vienīgais piemineklis Ventspilī. Piemiņas akmens tiek uzskatīts par vecāko Ventspils pieminekli. Tas ticis celts par Ventspils iedzīvotāju ziedojumiem.
Slēpnis ir pārtikas kārba apm 10x10cm. Iekšā logbook, zīmulis, asināmais.

Monument to the sailors and fishermen, whose tomb - the seabed is located at the former winter port (19. Century.), currently used for harbor parking. Monument there is from 1938. the author of the idea is Vilis Ābelnieks who worked as captain of the port of Ventspils. Granite stone was pulled out from riverbed of Venta. A long time it was the only monument in Ventspils. The memorial stone is considered as the oldest monument in Ventspils. It was built for the donations of residents of Ventspils.
