This cache has been placed to highlight the newly restored fish passageway will help native fish swim up and down a restored creek in the Baldwin Swamp, Bundaberg.
You may see Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, and Sea Mullet swimming up and down the fishway. The fishway is important for environmental ecology and the local seafood industry that fish are provided habitats for breeding and feeding. The project is funded by the Australian Government's Caring for our Country Program. http://www.nrm.gov.au/
The cache has been painted to blend in with the environment, unscrew the lid and leave the container in-place. Enjoy a walk through the beautiful surroundings but bring some bug spray!
