Geocache Description:

The Lighthouse (or Den Lighthouse) is situated on Teignmouth seafront and can be combined with my other caches in this area.

The Lighthouse was completed in 1845 at a cost of £196, 7s and was built on behalf of Teignmouth Harbour Commissioners'. To this day it remains a useful navigational mark at the entrance to Teignmouth harbour.

here is plenty of parking (free after 1800 hrs), beach huts, snack bars and most importantly Teignmouth Lifeboat Station. It is also a great location to watch large coasters (cargo ships) arriving or departing from the port (usually at high tide).

This cache is a NANO as it is in a very busy location, close to the beach and car park. Please be sure you are not being watched and that you put the cache back exactly where you found it to ensure it remains for all to visit...!
