Geocache Description:

A really cool spot close to where the Boreas River meets the Hudson River.

The cache is a small tupperware container hidden close to the confluence of the Boreas and Hudson Rivers.  While you can certainly access this area and cache directly from the Hudson River, the easiest way is via the old railroad line that runs from North Creek to Tahawus.  There is parking available on Northwoods Club Road at the given parking coordinates.  Just follow the railroad tracks south along the Boreas for about 1.5 miles to where the tracks cross the Hudson River.  There is a really cool old railroad bridge here worth a little exploration.  Once you get to the Hudson follow your GPS to where the Boreas meets the Hudson.  This is a very remote location, but really not that hard to get to, we made the trip in a little less than an hour with a group of six student members of the club.  If the rail line does become active again, this cache is still accesible by hiking in along the Boreas River.  There is no NEED to use the railroad tracks other than as a directional guide.
