This cache has been archived.

007 and the PI: I am sad to archive this one but our castle is now several hours away from here. I am also too busy at work to apparate down and check on this cache. Accordingly, I must surrender the area to the next cacher.

Geocache Description:

My late father-in-law, Attorney Rodolfo G. Lagoc was a labor judge in the Philippines. In one case being tried before his bench, he was hounded by an attorney representing the defense. The attorney wanted my father-in-law to decide in favor of the defense and was willing to pay whatever was needed to do so. In fact, the attorney called repeatedly, each time offering more and more. While such behavior may seem odd to the casual observer of the US judicial system (Al Capone, not withstanding), it was common back then in the Philippines. While presented with a choice, my father-in-law did the right/ moral/ ethical thing/ made his choice and decided the case based on the merits.

While I cannot (and have no desire to) create such ethical dilemas/ moral choices in the geocaching world, I can offer you a different kind of choice. Do you wish to approach GZ from the lower path or the upper path? Approaching from the lower path is harder but perhaps more stable. An approach from the upper path can easily result in you taking a header down to the lower path. Also, if your GPS is jumpy or if you use a mobile phone for your GPS device, you may find with an upper path approach that you get way too close to Children's Fairyland. Any of you who have cached with me know that I steer clear of kid's areas. Please do likewise.

After finding the cache, please replace the cammo. Need some more? Shouldn't be too hard to find some. The trees make the signal choppy. Taking a page out of Berkeley Boomers' book, I averaged my Garmin eTrex readings to come up with what I did. This find is a 4/3.5 intentionally. It is hard because I am not providing hints as to what it looks like/ whereabouts/ how to get it. I say this because in the below comments, a cacher asked for more help and less "spam" about my late father-in-law. I will not be providing help on the cache. Again, it is a 4/3.5. As to "spam", if anyone feels this way, here is what I would ask. When you have had a close family member pass away, ask yourself how you feel. If, after that, you still feel my comments are "spam", let me know. I am so proud of my favorite chef and geocacher, Honu for her FTF. Keep up the good work, Honu! You are amazing and a true friend. HUA to rohrerboy on finding his first 4/3.5 find as well as for finding this cache on 6/25. 6/25 was the last calendar day he had not found a cache on. Congrats on the find and on filling out the caching calendar!
