A bridge where there was none!
Where hurricane Irene hit at the end of August 2011 there was no bridge here - little Cascade Brook overwhelmed its culvert and wiped out such a large section of Rt 47 that Ulster County DPW was forced to put in a bridge rather than try to recreate the road as it was'

AS the GPS was rating itself at 39 feet accuracy today, therefore we will say be sure to look on the upstreram side about 40' in from the road.
The downstream side will reward the adventurous with views of interesting water cascades through the water worn rock.
