Geocache Description:

This cache, and others placed by us at the Taitua Arboretum has been created by our family with families in mind. There are lots of puzzle caches are around that are challenging to solve that are great for adults, but we wanted to create some caches that children and families can enjoy together.

Different breeds of chickens lay different colour and sized eggs.

The cache is not hidden egg-tactly at the above location.

How many eggs did the Funky Chicks lay? Some days they were egg-cellent layers, other days were egg-tremely busy doing egg-citing things (like stealing sandwiches) they were too egg- hausted to lay. Their favourite place to lay is somewhere egg-tra private. Take a closer look at their egg laying habits so you can egg-tract the cache location.

If you haven't done a puzzle cache before, see here for instructions on how to load Final co-ordinates into your iPhone

You may find some Funky Chicks in some of the caches – they are called Nancy, Pinkie, Mabel and Ruby. If you find one of the Funky Chicks please take her for a walk and take some photos of her having fun. PLEASE don’t take the Funky Chicks home with you though, but place her into a cache before you leave the arboretum and post your photos with your cache logs.

To help keep the log books dry please return the log book into the plastic bag and ensure the Click-Clack containers are placed right-way-up when you rehide the cache – if they are placed up-side-down, water will eventually get into the caches.

Dogs on leads ok. Car park is locked at night. If this is your first puzzle cache, go here http://flic.kr/p/deYnnt for instructions on how to load the Final co-ordinates into your Iphone.
