Geocache Description:

This is the first in our new Lunada Lambada series, which will take you down the Lunada Canyon Trail to Paseo Lunado, across a few nice parks / street dividers, and then down to the beach at Lunada Bay.  It's a fun and easy hike (going down, at least) with some great ocean views and plenty of wildflowers in the spring.

This first cache is at the trailhead at the end of Posey Way.  Unrestricted parking is available on all local streets.  As the name implies, you're starting off high and finishing low.  A couple of peacocks kept up company while we were placing the cache.

This first one should be easy to find; some of the later ones are harder.  However, be warned that the cache container can be a little hard to open, due to a bit too much exuberance when applying the paint (which is already flaking off ... why didn't I just stick to camo tape?).  Anyway, it should loosen up after the first few people find it.

Enjoy the trail and the cache series!

Update 2015-04-12: Looks like the cache has wandered from the rocks up into the plants. Seems like this cache gets destroyed or moved each year when the do the annual brush clearing. Next time I'm in the area I'll look for a new hiding spot.
