007 and the PI: Archived as it is gone and I am no longer in the area as frequently as I was. Rest in peace, Lolo. We celebrated your birthday today. Geocache Description:

My late father-in-law, Attorney Rodolfo G. Lagoc was amused at the polar opposites one can find in Oakland. For example, at the waypoint, you will see what remains of a public statue. This is not one of Oakland's shining moments when you see the graffiti on the base. You might even wonder where the statue went, why it hasn't been replaced, and who or what the statue was of. My initial research has not revealed the answer.
Update: Compliments of jagerdorf, here is what was once there and what happened to it - http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/local/east_bay&id=8137237
Yet in the same vein, as you approach GZ, you will see Oakland's well-maintained lawn bowling area. There is even a lawn bowling club you can join.

And that is Oakland. Some great spots to visit and then some head-scratcher places.

This cache reflects the polar opposites of the title. The D/T is 1/5. There is a traditional log in the new cache and that is it.

Enjoy! HUA to orangepurpleworm on the FTF!
