SRT - First Aid Kit Traditional Cache
kootenay pirates: We had decided to remove this cache since maintenance is up to the cache owner and "first aid kit" type caches are frowned on by Geocaching Headquarters.
Imagine our surprise when we couldn't find it. The area along this part of the trail has had a lot of work done to it and they have put down cedar chips......and from the looks of things they have removed the cache as well.

This historic non-motorized trail is great for walking, biking, snow-shoeing, and x-country skiing. Parking is available at various access points along the trail.
For those that don't want to hike/bike the trail in both directions there is bus service available.
This cache is full of little logbooks. Feel free to take a few with you when you explore the trail just in case you come across a wet log along the way. If you don't use them you can leave them in caches at the other end of the trail.
The entire length of the Slocan Rail Trail is 50 kms with a total change of elevation of just 41 meters. Most of the trail parallels the beautiful Slocan River.
This cache is a camoed lock n' lock located just off the Slocan Rail Trail. Please bring a pencil and replace the cache exactly as it is.
