Drayton hall is a grade 2 listed building which became the residence of Fysh Coppinger in 1786. He claimed to be a decendent of the De Burgh family and so took the name Fysh De Burgh. He died in 1800 and memorials to him and his family can be found in the nearby St. Martins Church. In more recent times the hall has been purchased by the West Drayton Urban District Council for use as offices who also used the grounds for local events such as fetes and open air services. The surrounding grounds remain the property of Hillingdon Council but the hall was sold on to United Biscuits who created a walled garden to the rear of the building, and then more recently to a Pharmaceutical company.
