Geocache Description:

A series of caches placed between the villages of Nether Broughton, Upper Broughton and Old Dalby on the Leicestershire – Nottinghamshire border. The route is about five and a half miles long, mainly on footpaths but with short road sections through the villages. The height ranges from 60m in the valley between Nether Broughton and Upper Broughton to 150m on top of the Jurassic escarpment (Belvoir ridge) to the south east of Old Dalby.

The circuit can be accessed from Nether Broughton, Upper Broughton, Old Dalby or Queensway Old Dalby. Food and refreshments are available at the village pubs close to the route. The footpaths vary in quality from being well trodden to being hardly ever used. The trail is across working farmland so please be prepared for animals in some of the fields and for mud particularly after wet weather. The caches are in general relatively easy but a few difficult to very difficult caches have been placed as a challenge. I you geocache more for the walk, you may need to miss a few of these more difficult ones. You will need to allow about 2.5 hours for walking plus caching time (around 3.5-4 hours in total). Obvious place only need to get there.
