Geocache Hundskopf-Radlsee
Achtung fiktive Koordinaten: die Koordinaten sind jene des Radlseehauses, nicht des Caches!
Die Westseite des Brixner Talkessels wird Pfeffersberg genannt. Woher der Name stammt, haben verschiedene Wissenschaftler versucht zu ergründen: Otto Stolz und Ignaz Mader führen den Namen Pfeffersberg auf die Art des Zinses zurück, den die Bauern dieser Talseite dem Brixner Fürstbischof abliefern mussten. Ein anderer bekannter Toponmastik-Experte, Egon Kühebacher, hingegen leitet den Namen von den Pfaffen ab, wie die Geistlichkeit im Volksmund genannt wurde. Tatsächlich gehörten früher viele Höfe am Pfeffersberg dem Brixner Domkapitel. Der gesamte Pfeffersberg war bis zur Angliederung an die Stadtgemeinde Brixen durch das faschistische Regime im Jahre 1928 eine eigene Gemeinde. Heute umfasst der Pfeffersberg die Fraktionen Mahr, Untereben, Tötschling, Tschötsch, Tils, Pinzagen und Gereuth. Letztere ist der Brixner Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen zum Radlsee.
Das Radlseehaus ist das erste Schutzhaus, das der Südtiroler Alpenverein nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg erbaut hat (1956). Ausgangspunkt der schönen Bergwanderung zum Radlseehaus, Königsanger und Hundskopf ist der Parkplatz beim Perlungerhof, ein weiterer, kleinerer Parkplatz befindet sich einige hundert Meter weiter bei der Abzweigung zum Feichterhof. Der Aufstieg zum 2284 m hoch gelegenen Radlseehaus ist mit ca. 2h50' angegeben, der Weg mit der Nummer 8 markiert. Ab dem Tannefrit-Kreuz gibt es eine Variante, die mit Nr. 8b gekennzeichnet ist. Sie ist etwas kürzer, aber dafür steiler und daher eher für den Abstieg zu empfehlen. Auf dem gesamten Weg genießt man eine herrliche Sicht auf die schroffen Felsgipfel der Villnösser Geislerspitzen. Der Cache liegt wie schon im Namen andeutet - am Hundskopf, von wo aus man einen schönen Blick auf den Brixner Talkesssel hat (den man vom Radlseehaus nicht sieht). Allein wegen dieser schönen Aussicht lohnt sich der kurze und wenig ansteigende Spaziergang vom Radlseehaus zum Hunskopf. Für die Koordinaten des Hundskopf-Caches müsst ihr euch aber schon etwas anstrengen:

Sucht die Primzahlen an den Stellen von A und B (die n.te PZ), multipliziert die beiden Primzahlen und ihr habt den Schlüssel zum Entschlüsseln der Final-Koordinaten.

Geocache Hundskopf-Radlsee (Monte Cane-Lago Rodella)
Attenzione coordinate fittizie: le coordinate sono quelle del Rifugio al Lago Rodella e non della Cache!
Il versante ovest della conca di Bressanone viene chiamata Pfeffersberg (Monteponente) Otto Stolz e Ignaz Mader tentarono di ricondurre il nome Peffersberg (letteralmente ) al tipo di censo che gli abitanti del versante occidentale della valle dovevano versare ogni anno al principe vescovo di Bressanone. Invece Egon Kühebacher -un altro rinnomato scienziato in toponomastica - fa derivare il nome dai preti, termine con cui la gente comunemente denominava il clero. In effetti in passato molti dei masi del Pfeffersberg (Monteponente) appartenevano al capitolo del duomo di Bressanone. Fino all' aggregazione al comune di Bressanone sotto il regime fascista nell' anno 1928 il Pfeffersberg (Monteponente) era un comune autonomo. Oggi il Pfeffersberg comprende le frazioni Mahr, Untereben, Tötschling, Tschötsch, Tils, Pinzagen e Gereuth. Quest' ultima è il punto di partenza per escursioni al lago e rifugio Rodella che é il primo rifugio alpino che l'Alpenverein Südtirol costruí dopo la seconda guerra mondiale nell' anno 1956.
Il punto di partenza ufficiale é il parcheggio pubblico presso il maso Perlunger. Un paio di cento metri più avanti al bivio della strada che porta al maso Feichter - si trova un altro parcheggio più piccolo. Per la salita al rifugio Rodella situato al 2284 m s.l.m ci si impegna circa 2h50', il sentiero è marcato col segnavia no. 8. A partire dalla località Tannefrit si puo´scegliere una variante più corta ma più ripida (e percio' consigliabile per la discesa) che è maracta col no. 8b. Durante l' intero percorso si gode la bellissima vista sulle Odle di Funes. Il cache si trova come annunciato nel nome - al Hundskopf (monte cane), dal quale si ha una splendida vista sulla conca e la città di Bressanone (che dal rifugio non si vede). Per ottenere le coordinate del Cache dovete però rimboccare un po' le maniche.

The west side of the Brixen valley floor is called "pepper mountain". Where the name comes, several researchers have tried to fathom: Otto Stolz and Ignaz Mader attribute the name to the mountain at the kind of interest, the farmers of this valley had to deliver the Prince Bishop of Brixen. Another well-known onomastics expert, Egon Kühebacher, however, derives its name from the "priests" on how the clergy were called in the vernacular. In fact, many farms were formerly at the Pepper Mountain Brixen cathedral chapter. The whole Pepper Mountain until annexation by the municipality of Brixen by the fascist regime in 1928, was a separate municipality. Today, the pepper mountain fractions Mahr, Untereben, Tötschling, Tschötsch, Tils, Pinzagen and Gereuth belong to the municipality of Brixen. The latter is the starting point for hikes to Radlsee. The Radlseehaus is the first shelter that was built (1956) by the South Tyrolean Alpine Association (AVS) after World War II.
The starting point for the beautiful mountain hike to Radlseehaus, Königsanger and Hundskopf (dog's head) is the parking lot nearby the Perlungerhof, another smaller car park is located a few hundred meters further on at the junction Feichterhof. The ascent to Radlseehaus (located at 2284 m height) is given as 2.5 hours, the path is marked with the number 8. From the Tannefrit-cross there is a version that is marked with no. 8b. She is a little shorter, but steeper for it. All the way one enjoys a magnificent view of the craggy peaks of the Villnösser Geisler-mountains. The cache is as suggested in the name - the Hundskopf (dog's head), out of a beautiful view of the Brixen enjoys, is worth just because of this beautiful view, the short and more or less flat walk from the Radlseehaus to Hundskopf.
