The Mr. Sack saga has to be one of my all-time favorite story lines in Peanuts 50-year history. It begins on June 11, 1973, when Charlie Brown wakes up with the sun appearing as a rising baseball outside of his window. Then it's the moon that's a baseball, then an ice cream cone. When he develops a baseball-shaped rash on his head, Linus convinces him to visit the doctor, who, in turn, tells him to do something that will take his mind off baseball. Charlie Brown goes to camp...with a paper bag on his head. There, the kids, for reasons unknown, absolutely revere him, respectfully addressing him as, "Mr. Sack"! He becomes camp president and dispenser of wise advice. Mr. Sack is a hero. Park at the given parking coords, then stroll your way down. Mr. Sack regrets that he was unable to furnish a pencil.
