Geocache Description:

Our first cache.  A simple Cache and Dash celebrating the Queens Diamond Jubilee.  A small clip lock box - which may have room for small TB's and swaps.  We recommennd going on a clear day for the views.

This cache is placed near the location of the Bradninch and Silverton Diamond Jubilee Beacon.  From the middle of the field you get a spectacular panorama, but as this is private land you will have to make do with seeing the vista from the various gateways.  Things to look out for are:-
  • The Exe Estuary and the Sea
  • Dartmoor
  • The 'Sidmouth Gap'
  • The Blackdown Hills
On the night of the Beacons a huge bonfire was lit with a fireworks display.  Many people walked here from Bradninch and Silverton.  As well as the local firworks you could also see the display at Exmouth!

Given the nature of the location, there are a couple of patriotic gifts for the First to Find - and given the nature of the Keyseven team these are child friendly!
