The Cache is NOT at the above coordinates!
The 1860 Old Reservoir is the end of the Heritage Way Bike Path and the beginning of your journey. The Old Reservoir is a hidden gem nestled down a bumpy dirt road and is a great spot to fish, canoe, kayak, or walk with your dog. As with all Caches, practice CITO and bring a garbage bag; you can deposit some litter in the Old Reservoir's trash bin and feel better walking out!
The coordinates above are for the entrance to the Reservoir, and limited parking is available at the waypoint listed below. In the final stage of this three stage cache, you'll find some swag, a logbook, and a pen. I challenge all of you to create an Inky Pinky of your own and write it down along with your name. That way, I can keep the puzzle fresh and you can be a part of the Inky Pinky Cache.
What is an Inky Pinky?
To find Stage 1, you'll have solve an Inky Pinky puzzle to get its coordinates. Let me explain: high school English teachers love to award extra credit using this devilish word game in which you are given a clue and must figure out two words which fit the clue, rhyme, and have the correct number of syllables. An “Ink Pink” is a pair of single syllable words that rhyme (Ex. Obese Feline = FAT CAT). Similarly, an “Inky Pinky” is a pair of two syllable words that rhyme (Ex. Sluggish Flower = LAZY DAISEY). Going one step further, an “Inkity Pinkity is a pair of three syllable words that rhyme (Ex. Cache In Trash Out = POLLUTION SOLUTION).
I could keep going, but you get the picture, so here is some easy practice to test your Inky Pinky skills. Highlighting the text in this practice section will reveal the answers.

So Let's recap... Ink Pink is a one syllable rhyming pair. Inky Pinky is a two syllable rhyming pair. Inkity Pinkity is a three syllable rhyming pair. Inkitity Pinkitity is a four syllable rhyming pair. If you can manage to think of some, an Inkititity Pinkititity is a five syllable rhyming pair. You have to solve the Inky Pinky puzzle to get to stage 1. It seems simple enough, but from experience, Inky Pinky's are always frustrating, and when you realize what the answer is, you'll want to go bang your head against the wall. Don't get a concussion, and Happy Caching!
