An out of the way place where, depending upong the time of year, you'll either encounter TONS of people hunting or you'll be lucky to see one other vehicle on the road a day (if you're lucky). With that in mind, please be sure to respect the hunters and if they are there keep your distance or just avoid the area alltogether (Hunter orange would be good to keep bullets at bay). Terrain rated do to remoteness as well as creek/river crossing.
This area is one of my favorite places as you'll be LUCKY to see ANYONE on the road with you. VERY remote and with that in mind please be sure to have at least 1/4 tank of fuel or better in your vehicle. I'd hate for you to get stuck out there. Probably not the best to be out here messing during the winter months either unless you either have 4-wheel drive or are just plain crazy. You get a flat tire out here and you're on your own for quite some time. There is a house that you could walk to but it's south of the cemetery you passed to get to this location. They've "resurfaced" the gravel road...meaning, turned the gravel up, so it's pretty loose as of right now and somewhat rough. If you have a car, well....good luck and more power to you. Watch sides of the road as nearing the area there are some quite steep drop offs with no guard rail. DO NOT GO PAST THE CONCRETE BRIDGE WITH BULLET HOLES IN THE TONNAGE LIMIT SIGN, VERY VERY ROUGH ROAD WITH DEEP RUTS. You've been warned.
Now, all the scary stuff out of the way. This area is so calm during the off-season hunting times. Also a fairly decent area to "cheat" and get to the back portions of the sycamore loop trail or whatever. There are some "camping" spots that during today's visit looks like several lazy people were there recently to say the least.
Looking for an ammo can hidden away hopefully out of harms way. Few items to trade to start out. GOOD LUCK!
p.s. At times....this area is underwater so in that case the terrain goes WAY up....I've seen people with canoes out here before...right now tho you won't encounter that...right now that is...
