Dead Centre of Town #1 Traditional Cache

As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Dead Centre of Town Series
 
There are four known cemeteries in Mount Gambier.
  • Pioneer Park was the original cemetery in Mount Gambier. Although there are no accurate records of interments, it was believed to have been used between 1854 and the 1913. GC131CY
  • Meischel Park was active from 1864 to 1907, with 76 burials. A cemetery for the early Lutheran settlers to the area. GC157P4
  • Lake Terrace Cemetery is located on the Cemetery Reserve, Lake Terrace, Mount Gambier. It operated from 1868 until Carinya Gardens Cemetery opened in January 1967. It remained closed for nearly 30 years but was reopened in 1993 to cater for vault, monumental and service burials. GC3N8PK
  • Carinya Gardens is the current cemetery with crematorium vault facilities. GC3NRGE
 
Although not an official cemetery, there are also three unmarked, but known, graves in the Old Mount Gambier Gaol. GCRVDV
