This is where the Snowy River meets the Ocean. Of course while the Snowy mouth was opposite when the cache was placed it does move about, so may not be visible when you get their. Have a read of the sign at the lookout opposite.
The Snowy River starts its journey near the top of Mount Kosciousko. Due to the large dams for hydro electricity that have been built in its upper reaches and the regrowing of trees after the old growth was removed for woodchips and other wood products, very little water now travels down the river. Works have been finished to Lake Jindabyne to allow more water to be released into the river then the 5% of original flows that it gets currently.
You are looking for a mentos container. It is behind a branch that grows out flat along the ground before rising. It is part of a multi stemmed tea tree that is in the first line of trees closest to the road.
