Geocache Description:

***UPDATE*** Anyone who doesn't wish to participate in the puzzle event but would like to attend a follow-up event to hear the stories (and sign the event log) may do so by coming to the Back East Bar and Grill (N38 58.069 W104 46.933) beginning around 4 PM. Note, this is NOT the same place as the starting location!

Join Wolfpack01 and Zulu113 on Saturday, August 4, at the coordinates above, for a fun and exciting puzzle-solving event and an all-around Excellent Caching Adventure! Those not interested in the puzzles are also invited to a follow-on event purely social in nature!

Attention all caching-puzzle-solvers! You are invited to join us for the premier geocaching puzzle event of the year! We have put together a series of puzzles and locations to challenge your searching and solving skills. Note: Cool prizes will be awarded to the winning team, and other prizes will be available to win by everyone!

Form a team of at least 2 and no more than 4 people. Post in the log that you will attend, and either name your team or give the name of the team captain. Each team captain will need to provide a phone number (privately via email) so we can contact you if anything goes awry or a winner emerges. A maximum of 10 teams will per permitted, so get your team together and submitted soon! Post a note on this page if you’re looking to form or join a team.

Arrive at the event around 12:30 PM on the day of the event. At 12:45, we will go over the rules with the teams. At approximately 1 PM, each team will be given their first clue.

Solve the puzzles and find the caches and other clues. The winners will be the first team to return with the final cache!

Some additional notes:
  • We expect the Adventure to take around 3-4 hours to complete.
  • Each team must have a vehicle, and all team members must ride in the same vehicle.
  • We’ll need a phone number to get ahold of the team while they’re out and about (and we’ll give you ours).
  • Post a note here if you’re seeking to join or form a team.
  • You will need to drive between clues and locations, and the total driving distance is expected to be less than 40 miles. You will not be required to purchase anything at any location.
  • Be prepared for a small hike, but no special equipment other than good shoes are required.
  • A smart phone isn’t required (though it won’t hurt either).
  • No collusion between teams (the puzzles are altered slightly to keep this from doing any good anyway).
  • You are encouraged to bring water and snacks.
  • There will be a follow-on event, at a location nearby, at 4pm
