This cache is located on a little on Edgerton history. To start with this cache is on a old road that comes up from the river. Around 1800 the indains in the area used the route to come up from the river and head inland.
More people started to use this route. By the 1830's wagons and foot traffic had become more numorus . Wagon ruts were starting to show. Looking at the tree line and you will see where the road ran.
By the 1850's this road was used by the stage line that went through this area. This is why it's called the "Old Stage Road". Standing on the gravel road and looking at the tree line, turn towards your left and you will see a fire hydrent. Where this hydrent is now was the location of a stage stop when the road was in it's hay day.
I place a cache on this road so that people will remember what was here 160 years ago.
Enjoy the hide and just think who might've walked where you are walking looking for this cache. Nurse_Pat FTF That's 5 of 6 around the hospital. Great Job!
