Geocache Description:

** UPDATE November 2015 ** A new solar farm is being built between this cache and SBM#2. It won't affect the caches but it may be muddier than normal and there may also be a level of construction vehicles crossing between fields. You are looking for a small traditional cache in a camo bag at the junk yard.

You do not need to enter the junk yard to find this cache.

Bring your own pen/pencil!

** SERIES DESCRIPTION **
I was mid thirties going on forties first time I saw a geocache. It happened in the summer of 2011. Not too long ago. But only if you measure in terms of years. I was living in a small town in South Wales called Pontyclun. There were only 1281 people, but to me it was the whole world.
Ok, maybe not 100% accurate, but this is a series of caches based on the movie ‘Stand by Me’ a coming of age story about a group of four young boys in search of something – a body. Teddy Duchamp (the craziest guy we hung around with), Chris Chambers (the leader of the gang), Vern Tessio (overweight, timid and often picked on) and Geordie Lachance (that’s me and I’ll be your guide today). There are some parallels between my last adventure and today’s search, but today it’s actually geocaches that we are hunting down, but we are going on a journey all the same, and who knows we might even find a little more about ourselves on the way.
There are some spoilers in the scene descriptions, but you don’t need to read these to find the caches.

The entire series is approximately 4 - 5 miles long and involves some dirt tracks that can get boggy after heavy rain. I would therefore not deem it to be suitable for push chairs or wheel chairs, and would recommend wellies or tall boots. Each cache in the series contains a number that you will need to find the final bonus cache in the series.

** SCENE DESCRIPTION **
No Trespassing was enforced by Milo Pressman, the junkman, and his dog Chopper. The most feared and least seen dog in Castle Rock. Legend had it that Milo had trained Chopper not just to sic, but to sic specific parts of the human anatomy. Thus a kid who had illegally scaled the junkyard fence might hear the dread cry: 'Chopper, sic balls!!'
But right now neither the dread Chopper nor Milo was anywhere in sight…
You’d better be quick! Was that the gate?
Now he said "sic him boy". But what I heard was "Chopper! Sic! Balls!"

This is one of the scenes from the story and it takes place as the boys reach a junk yard owned by Milo Pressman. You're lucky that you don't have to come up against the infamous Chopper today, but it may still be an idea to make this a quick cache and dash.

** TRIVIA **
In the scene where Gordie (Wil Wheaton) and Chris (River Phoenix) race each other through the junkyard, Wheaton could run faster than Phoenix but Wheaton's character was supposed to lose. Wheaton had to fake a fast run when running slow so that Phoenix's character would win.

As with most of Stephen King's stories, this one originally contained connections to other books he has written, e.g. the dog Chopper is compared to Cujo.

** Don't forget to make a note of the number from this cache - it'll help towards the coordinates for the bonus cache. **

## Well done to ric.t1 on his first FTF ##
