Geocache Description:

This cache will be an easy find.

It will bring you to a place where I spent a lot of time as a kid.  I'd go for walks around campus with my Grandpa, or go for a bike ride with my bestie.. but I'd always end up here at Bowman Park in the center of Depauw Campus, sitting by (or playing in) the fountain, or sitting at the pond watching the fountains with their colored lights, or occasionally feeding the most ginormous koi I've ever seen in my life.  One time they even had a huge tank set up, and it was filled with orange Jell-O. They were letting students jump in and maneuver their way through and work their way out.  Not too hard to do if you were a Depauw student, but to an 8 year old, it was the most awesome event of my summer.  I'll never forget the trouble I got into after that sticky bike ride back to Grandma's house.  Good thing the shirt I was wearing was tie-dye...  Anyway, this was a nice quiet retreat in the middle of campus.  There was a circle of benches that went around the big fountain just northeast of the pond..  But none of these things are there anymore.  There are a few tables and some concrete, but it is still a quiet and relaxing place to stop.  My kids prefer the East College lawn just up the street, with its shade, fountain, and veiny boulder to climb on, but this is still a very nice place to visit. Great looking building since the makeover!
