Micro-cache in an open space below a notatrail.
This is a sequel to the Notatrail Cache. It provides another view of the infamous notatrail up on the hill, the Coyote-Alamitos Canal levee. You may see people on the levee. There's also a well-worn volunteer trail leading up to it here. There's even a ladder up the retaining wall to provide access to it. All of these are unofficial and probably illegal, but they've been there for years, and nothing has been done about them. What about this big stretch of open space here? Is it a notapark? I don't know, but I believe it's undeveloped city parkland, similar to what's at Snell and Colleen. At least there are no "No trespassing" signs in the land below the canal, but there are along the canal itself. There is no need to use the canal to reach this cache. You can reach it without taking a step off the sidewalk along Colleen. It's a camo'd plastic micro-cache hidden under local materials. If you find glass, it's trash. There's no pen, so bring your own. Make sure you keep it hidden so it won't be mistaken for trash. Update 10/16/19 I replaced the cache several feet to the right of the original location, away from the stinkwort, at least so far.
