Geocache Description:

This hide is in the Trevallyn Recreation Area just minutes from Launceston's CBD. For most people it will involve a return walk of about 70 minutes from the car-park at the intersection of Reatta Road and Duck Reach Road.

There are other points of entry which would shorten the time and distance but these are trickier to locate if you are not familiar with the area. There also are other caches on connecting tracks in this area so it is possible to walk a circuit over a few hours and find several of them.

The cache is off-track and consists of a small Systema box containing the basics minus a pencil. You get some nice views of West Launceston near the hide.

There are some steep drop-offs so CHILDREN NEED TO BE
UNDER CLOSE SUPERVISION FOR APPROXIMATELY THE FINAL 200 METRES.

When approaching the hide for the final 10 to 20 metres it is safest to bear left or right away from it and go down in order approach from the side or below.
