A Mckee Clan Cache
Gilbert Town
Established on this site was the town of Gilberton in 1851 and then proclained gilbert town in 1856. The town originally contained a post office, Hotel (The Bow and Arrow) and store. The coming of the railway in 1870 caused it's decline until in 1902 the town officially reverted to agricultural land.
