This cache celebrates the opening of Kingston's new French-language public school. It amalgamates two of Kingston's existing French schools: Madeleine-de-Roybon elementary school, formerly located at CFB Kingston, and Mille-Iles secondary school, which was located in the former Calvin Park Public School. The brand new school is located on the site of the old Duncan McArthur Public School, which has been expanded to create a facility that occupies nearly a city block. It will house 294 elementary students and 60 secondary students, as well as a French-language childcare facility for up to 40 children four years of age or younger.
Cette cache célèbre l'ouverture de la nouvelle école publique de langue française de Kingston. Elle fusionne deux écoles françaises de Kingston déjà existante: l'école élémentaire Madeleine-de-Roybon, anciennement situé à la BFC Kingston, et l'école secondaire des Mille-Îles, qui était situé dans l'ancienne école publique "Calvin Park". L'école flambant neuve est situé sur le site de l'ancienne école publique Duncan McArthur, qui a été élargi afin de créer une installation qui occupe presqu'un pâté de maisons.
