This cache is located near the old, now closed, restaurant 'Bobcat Bites'. It is a very easy P & G, by the roadway.
According to local lore, this section of Historic Route 66, is an area known to have a big history of Bobcats. Starting in 1953, Bobcats would come down the mountain to the local shop & get hand fed scraps of food. A legend & history was born. The shop became a restaurant that was loved by many including my wife and me. It 'was' one of my favorite spots on Route 66!! Just out of Santa Fe, NM. This original location of Bobcat Bites is now closed. There is a new location in Santa Fe. Cache is a medium sized Bison type tube. BYOP. Easy park and grab with parking nearby. Please take care to replace safely with care. Congratulations to bob8bear for FTF! I couldn't be happier they found it. I really enjoyed finding bob8bear's caches while in Santa Fe!
