Geocache Description:

A favorite hang-out of locals... the tradewinds are always blowing and the ocean smells are strong here!

As a resident of the Puna area, I've picked some of my most favorite places to share with geocachers! I feel these each have a unique landscape or exceptional surroundings to make them a "MUST SEE" in my neck of the woods! Please enjoy the area and let me know if I can answer anything for you!!

This cache is paired with my west-side cache, Hawaiian Sunset (Beach 69). On the eastern side of the Island, the sunrises in this area can be spectacular!! An enjoyable place to just watch the waves and listen to them crash on the rocky shoreline. Sometimes you can catch one of the local fisherman trying his luck off this shore.

Not a place to get into the water, but more to just enjoy the scenery! Be cautious of the hala trees, they have pricklies!!
