Geocache Description:

Need I say this? . . . the cache is NOT at the coordinates listed.
You must solve the puzzle to find the actual coordinates.
There is NOTHING at the coordinates listed that will be of any use.

I REPEAT. . . DO NOT GO TO THE COORDINATES LISTED expecting to find a cache or anything that would be considered helpful in solving the puzzle.

Welcome to my newest series of caches. In each of these “Reading is FUN” series, the premise will be the same: solve the puzzle to discover the coordinates to the hidden cache. They will start out easy and the caches will be accordingly small, however, the difficulty (and cache size) will be stepped up over the run of the series and the final cache may or may not require clues gleaned from all the previous puzzles / caches.

HERE IS YOUR TASK, (should you decide to accept it):

A. Find the coordinates for the hidden cache by first reading every book in the series referred to by the clues on this page; (just kidding), it will not be necessary to own, or even have read any of the books in this series.

HOWEVER, I would hope...

1.) You may have already read all/most/some/any of these books.
2.) If you are totally unfamiliar with these books, maybe this will encourage you to read them for the first time.
or
3.) At the very least, to make you more familiar with the archaic art of the written word in print. What a concept!

B. Solve the PUZZLE from the clues given on this page, in particular, below this diatribe.

C. Find the cache.

D. Sign the log.

E. Log your visit.

F. Enjoy a greater appreciation of the world around you, through fine literature.

OK, finally, here’s the clue:
You are visiting in SanFrancisco. While shopping for souvenirs you find yourself in a musty little bookstore. An elderly man, the shop-owner, perhaps, suddenly rushes out from the stockroom. He hands you a slip of parchment and whispers, "Keep it secret, keep it safe" Just as you are about to tell him that you are not Frodo and he certainly does not look like Gandalf, he dissappears into a puff of greasy black smoke. Not knowing what else to do, you look at the parchment and see the following:

N: ZnCLiBHeCf

W: PbNaFmCu

If only you knew what this was all about or what any of the writing meant, maybe you could be of help.
