8/31/12 UPDATE, PLEASE POST A NOTE AND WAIT UNTIL WE RESPOND WITH PERMISSION TO LOG A "WILL ATTEND" BUT, AS OF 9:00AM, WE HAVE 13 OPEN SPACES. FIRM CUT-OFF IS 8PM FRIDAY NIGHT. AFTER THAT TIME WE WILL HAVE NO WAY TO PUT YOUR NAME ON THE ATTENDEE LIST AT THE GATE.

PLEASE READ THE ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS CAREFULLY! THEY MUST BE FOLLOWED EXACTLY.

The posted coordinates are for the entrance gate to Foothills Park. Please drive to the parking coordinates. The Event will be at the same location as last year, the Oak Grove Group Picnic Area, which has been reserved for our exclusive use.

START TIME: 10:00am

Whether you're a big cacher or a mini-cacher, experienced pro or
wide-eyed newbie, all of you are invited to this casual,
family-friendly potluck! This is also a GREAT "must-do" opportunity
for non-Palo Alto residents to hike and find caches within the park
boundaries!

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Only Palo Alto residents and their registered guests can enter the park. To attend the event, post your "will attend," TELL US THE NUMBER IN YOUR PARTY, and state one of the following:

(1) Yes, I am a Palo Alto resident (bring proof to show at the gate AND email thegirlsfrompa@gmail.com your real name and address), or:

(2) I am NOT a Palo Alto resident. We will have your geoname at the gate (posted coordinates) and you will have to check in.

We are limited to 140 participants and must provide a list to the City by Monday, August 27th.

APPROXIMATE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

10:00am -- Come, talk, swap TB's, have fun!

10:30am -- Cache hunt & games

11:45am -- Potluck lunch

1:00pm -- White Elephant exchange (every attendee who
contributes a gift will receive one drawing number)

Water for grown-ups and drinks for kids will be provided.

WHITE ELEPHANT

Adults, please bring a wrapped mystery geocaching item to contribute to our White Elephant Gift exchange. You will get a ticket when you arrive. At 1:00pm, we will begin drawing numbers. Will you end up with a brilliant prize or a booby prize?! Come and find out!
