Geocache Description:

This is a small to large sized cache.  Please replace this cache exactly how you find it, with the lid side up to help reduce leaks.

This is a Hybrid cache consisting of multi-stage and puzzle cache efforts to make the find!
Muggles will generally be few or all around depending on the needs of the area; use stealth.
Part of the North America Geocaching Society - N.A.G.S. Cache Collection.

This area is tucked quietly way on the Northwest side of Monett and can easily be missed unless you are specifically looking for it or you like to drive on random streets and happen upon it.  As always with these types of caches, please respect the residents.  There is some great history hidden around these parts if you take the time to look!

Let's begin...

Your final Coordianates will consist of finding the clues to solve the missing numbers...

N36 55.ABC
W093 55.XYZ

1. Locate ground zero for the beginning coordinates... Here you will discover Z.  Z = the number of bolts holding this object in place

2. Look around you and locate a "dead" tree.  On this tree, there is a name - the number of letters in the last name is C.

3. You must now search for a above ground home where two residence reside.  The owners of this dwelling go by the last name of Cook.  You need to discover how many letters are in the Mr's name without those in Cook.  (His first name and middle initial).  Add these up and you will have discovered letter X

4. After visiting the Cooks, you will need to search for the "i"s.  These are not your eyes nor are they capital i's... there are lower case "i"s.  If you can find the row of white poles, you will be heading in the right direction.  Count the "i"s and add 1 for good measure and you will have discovered B.

5. It is time to walk the line, or road if you prefer.   Find the Northwest most corner of this area and you will find a strangely misplaced resident.  This hero had the honor of serving his country and the state of Missouri in the Missouri Cavalry.  Discover the regiment of Mr Wm. J. Curtis then subtract 2 and you will have letter Y.

6. It is time to return to the beginning.  Discover the tall home with a large vase on it.  At the base of the vase, not the home's foundation, you must count the diamonds that circle it.  Remember where you started or you will simple go around in circles forever.  After you are sure you have the right number, you need to do a flashback to junior high or break out your trusty calculator...  Divide the number of diamonds by 2 and then subtract 9 to discover letter A.

If you followed the clues and found your way to the right places... and for that matter did your math right, you now have A,B,C,X,Y, & Z.  Plug these little guys into your trusty GPS and it is time to make the find!

There is room in this cache for some swag and trackables, but out of respect for the residence, please do not fill it with geojunk that could blow away during your find!

Enjoy the cache, Enjoy the history!
