Geocache Description:

Lake Rotokauri is located seven kilometres north-west of Hamilton city. It has a surface area of 77 hectares and a maximum depth of four metres.

Lake Rotokauri is a peat lake and is part of the Waipa peat lake complex.

This is one of 8 caches hidden at Lake Rotokauri - so look up other caches and make your trip out here worth while. None of the caches are in flax bushes!

Closest parking is Dromara Drive, but parking is also available at Pheasant Close and Bunyard Road if you are wanting a longer stroll. There's a toilet near the gate from Dromara Drive.

Not a drive-by and grab.

This is a duck shooting lake, so an early morning cache hunt in May-June may be a little noisy - hence the cache name.

You are looking for a small cache. BYO pen. No room for swaps .

Cache is near the end of the path. Hopefully the path will be extended in the future so we can walk further around the lake.

May be wet under-foot around here in winter, but cache is not at ground level.

Please re-hide and cover with care.
