Grundy Canyon series is located on Rusk County land. This series encompasses a canyon, felsenmeer, and waterfall. Grundy Canyon is a very unique area with much to offer but does require a long walk and some very rough terrain. Bring food and extra water. Please take pictures and enjoy this unique area.
This cache was made to celebrate the conquering of Grundy Canyon and the Devils Kettle Caches. Every year I go through and maintain these caches. I don't think I have yet to take the same way through twice.
When I went through to set up this cache, the total distance by foot was just under 7.5 miles. Over a mile of it is from the Devils Kettle cache down County Road W and down to the end of Slack Road. Total ascent on my elevation plot was 586 feet. 6.35 miles if you park two vehicles. We have put on 8 plus miles in here before. Especially on the first run of caches we placed.
Advice: If you normally need one bottle of water, bring 2. Don't forget some snacks. I do recommend more than one person but this last time I just had my two black labs, Pepper and Oariey.
Overall, this is my favorite area to go hiking and if you take your time and take advantage of this adventure you will enjoy this very unique area.

I modified the the container to make it more fitting of a 5/5. You will need some patience and maybe a special tool to get the log out of the container. I did it several times and twice with just my fingers so it is field tested.
