Geocache Description:

This is a quick series down High Tech Dr in Georgetown.

This is a quick series down High Tech Dr in Georgetown. All of the caches are easy and should be kid friendly. I have included a fun high tech toy for the FTF kid or the  young at heart.

I pass by the street and think how technology has changed our lived from the time the first computer was introduced into our homes. I remember being a kid and my Dad brough home the very first portable computer. It was the equivalent size of a high end tower system today. It had a green screen and was bulky. It was not  easy to lug around. I would be some years later until the laptops we know today would come to market.

Amazing how computers have changed since then. I used to play Flight Simulator on this laptop after loading all the floppies required and I was only rewarded with just better than a wire frame cockpit. At the time though this was leading edge.

I hope that you guys enjoy the series, and that it reminds you of a time that you got your first computer. Feel free to share those stories with your kids.
