The town of Odivelas in collaboration with the Engineering Regiment No. 1 (Pontinha) opened on 25 April 2001, the Command Post of the Armed Forces Movement. This space is located on the premises of the Headquarters Pontinha where from 24 to 26 April 1974, were gathered the officers who commanded all operations of the Revolution of April 25. By dignifying this space and creating conditions to support visitors, the aim is not only the recovery of the place, but especially its dissemination to the public school and all those who show an interest in the events that marked the history of our country . Given that this is where the MFA led operations, suffered in times of uncertainty, the regime arrested the champion, met the Junta of National Salvation, ordered the release of political prisoners, wrote the majority of press releases, noticed, finally, that the movement had triumphed, it is intended that in the operating room, maintained as it was during the April 25, 1974, visitors are transported to that time and realize the importance of the events that took place there.
