Geocache Description:

This cache will take you to the pier at Cabrillo Beach in San Pedro.

We came down to Cabrillo Beach to find Sunken City Cache and had a great time scrambling around the tidepools. We also placed Off to a Rocky Start on the beach, and saw the long parking log / jetty / pier with all its tempting boulders and decided we needed to place a cache there too. It's pretty near Angel's Gate so you can grab that one too and several others nearby, using Cabrillo Beach as a base camp.

Replacement cache placed 1/3/2014: You're now looking for a camo'd deli container, about 1 quart in size. The original PVC tube container is lost in the rocks. The new container size and shape should be much less likely to fall but please still be careful (for yourself too!).

Have fun on the rocks and also the soft place (the sand). On the day we placed the original cache, the wind was blowing about 30 MPH so the windsurfers were putting on a show. Enjoy!
