Geocache Description:

Want an adventure? This cache is for you. Feet will get wet, muggles may be present, and there is a bit of bushwacking ahead, but if you are up for it, you will have fun talking about this one

Again, LAMBDAPHI241 and I went out to continue our Island Caching Adventure. Want an adventure? This cache is for you. Feet will get wet, muggles may be present, and there is a bit of bushwacking ahead, but if you are up for it, you will have fun talking about this one. So the Cache itself is a small container about the size of a 35mm canister. But the adventure to get there is what counts. I wanted to hide a cache in an area that was interesting to get to, and did I find it. Went out with Lambdaphi241, and as you will see with the coordinates and waypoints provided, dress approprately. You will need to cross some water to get there, so wear proper footwear. This is by the Arkansas River, and rivers have their high days, and low days, so use your best judgement when crossing the water. When I place the cache, the water was about 10 inches deep, so easily able to cross, but be more cautious on days that rain has recently happend.Once you cross there just walk on the beach. You may come across some animals, although we saw nothing but a beaver and a few deer tracks along the way. About half way you will have to do some minor bushwacking to get to the cache. The cache will be on higher elevation. Again, river water levels fluctuate, and though the cache is higher in elevation, again use good judgment. Also, I strong discourage swimming. It is a river with high currents so enjoy the view, but don't go out swimming. Stick to the waypoints for the shallow wading parts. This one was defiintly one we had fun putting out and I think the adventurous cacher will enjoy. Congrats to owc2011 and goff family fo Co FTF !!!!!
