Edificio romanico del sec. XII è il simbolo della Borgomanero medievale e lega il suo nome a una delle prime denominazioni del Borgo, Borgo San Leonardo. All'interno numerosi affreschi, tra i quali nell'abside: il Cristo pantocratore ed evangelisti, gli Apostoli e parti superstiti del Ciclo dei mesi; in prima campata la Madonna col Bambino e raffigurazione di Due Sante; in seconda campata l'Ultima Cena e la Vita di un Santo con la celebre schiera di armati.
ENG: This Romanic building of the 12th century is the symbol of medieval Borgomanero and joins its name with one of the first names given to the borough, that is, Borgo San Leonardo. Several frescoes are extant in the interior, among which, in the apse, Christ Pantocrator and evangelist, the Apostles and surviving parts of the cycle of the months; on the first span the Madonna and Child and Two Saints. on the second span the Last Supper and the Life of a Saint with the renowned host of armed figures.
