Geocache Description:

Ski Boot Hill walk, ski, bike and atv trails. Nice views of Fairbanks and the Alaska range.

Ski boot hill had a ski hill in operation between the late 1950's to  mid 1980's, which was apparently popular with the High School Alpine skiers of the area.  Although much of the ski trails from then are no longer usable, there are still many trails available for skiers, hikers, bicyclists, and even muddy holes for ATV riders.  You will generally find most trails relatively peaceful with a lot of mosquitos and few people.

The cache is just off an ATV trail, but don't hop on the four wheeler here, it's not far on foot.  To get to this trail head, travel approximately 1.6 miles on Ski Boot hill road from Farmers Loop road, make sure to turn right when you come to the Bruhn road fork.  You'll know your there when you can view the mountains, the city of Fairbanks and ft. Wainwright and the rest of Tanana valley's beauty.
