En arrivant dans le village, je recherche un haut clocher (symbole habituel d'une église), mais aucune flèche, aucune architecture ressemblant à mon "imaginaire religieux" n’est visible. Le bâtiment est sensé être au Nord-est à la limite du village.
Arrivé proche des dernières maisons, je vois un curieux bâtiment. Mais est-ce l'église fortifiée ? .
Certains bâtiments ne ressemblent pas à leur fonction et ne possèdent pas l'architecture similaire de ses "congénères". Voici un exemple caractéristique.
Curiosité à Champougny : son église fortifiée dédiée à Saint Brice dont elle possède des reliques. Le clocher fortifié se trouve à la verticale du chœur.
