Geocache Description:

John and Evelyn Thomas

Nearby lies my Grandparents, John and Evelyn Thomas. They were both born in Fort Worth in 1915. Before moving to Dallas, they had two children.

John enlisted in the Navy during WWII. After the navy he worked as a watch repairman in several shops and eventually owned the smallest jewelry store in Ft. Worth called "Tiny Time Shop". He taught Sunday School for many years.

Evelyn was an account that saw numbers in everything. She worked for a Pharmaceutical Company in Dallas for so long that she became their CFO. This woman meant so much to me that I named my only child after her, "Evie".

My Grandparents were married for 60+ years. I NEVER saw them fighting. I always was envious of their marriage. I hope they rest peacefully for all eternity.
Please be very respectful of where you are and what you are doing. If there is a funeral near by, please do not attempt to get this one. Take time to look around and see how beautiful the surroundings are. Please do not go looking for this one at night.
