This cache is part of the “Mid North Coast Wander” series of 201 caches. The series will take you on a magnificent journey highlighting this spectacular region. Starting at the base of Middle Brother and finishing at Pilots Beach Dunbogan; this 160 km trail is truly quite stunning and we are sure you will have a wonderful time touring the area.

A highlight of the Wander is this view over the Manning River valley from Newbys Lookout.
Just off the side of the road you will find a nice reasonably flat and spacious parking area next to a pumping station surrounded by banana stools. (FYI Bananas do not grow trees, they are a type of fungus and what most people know as banana trees are in fact banana stools)
It is a short walk down a local track from here that brings you out at the side of the river and beautiful views.
